Would anyone who is at all familar with computers be willing to pop around Bridge Road asap to have a look at Tom's computer please? It's picked up some sort of virus and continually restarts as it loads up Windows. He has tried getting it to run in Safe Mode although with no success. As he uses it to work from home, any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
For all those who passed on their best wishes today and for those who turned up for lunch. It all was very much appreciated. Thanks guys!

Maybe. If I feel like it!

As Connor currently has no internet, he's asked me to pass on the message that LURPS has been given the time of 12:00 on Wednesday 30th September in Alex square. It is politely asked that those who wish to participate show up at Alex Square at 9:30 to sort out kit, weapons, scripts (such as they exist) etc. Please, if you can come and help please do!
I'm cross posting this to the LURPS forums. If you know anyone who could/wants to turn up and can't or doesn't know the details, please pass on the message!
EDIT:
Shout out for kit we need
- A pretty "damsel-in-distress" appropriate dress (so nothing in black or blood red) that would fit Katie.
- Necromancer style ritual props including that handy spare fake blood so many of us keep lying around our homes.
- Cleric/relic-ey style props - or rather, one great prop.
- Archetypal "Barbarian" armour, furs, kit to fit Mike.
- Bandit-appropriate bandanas, headscarves, etc.

Due to it being the LT event next week, can I ask who will still be in Lancaster on Thursday?
As a slight change of pace from my more recent LJ posts, I will use this space to announce that I am hoping to run in the relatively near future, 'In Nomine', a game whose meta-plot focuses on the silent yet bloody war between Heaven and Hell and it’s denizens attempts to sway humanity into the light or into the pit. The general mood and style I’m looking for is horror with a slight dash of psychological torment thrown in there for good measure! The players will be humans who are initially unaware of the war but whose rude and sudden awakening to it will leave them frantically trying to survive and protect their immortal souls. Remember that the actions of humans, for good and evil, often are far greater in moral scope than anything that angels and demons could possibly achieve or conceive.
System wise I will be using the In Nomine core rules and will be looking for between four to six players. I heartily encourage players who have not played In Nomine before to step forward as prior knowledge of the setting will not be required but rather will be picked up IC during play, and the 3D6 rules system as it stands is very easy to pick up and assimilate. This does not mean that I will bar anybody who has played In Nomine before but I would ask that if they do play, that they keep their OC knowledge to themselves so as not to give anything away OC! As to when I’m going to run (assuming I get enough players to do so), I’m unsure whether to start it off during the holidays or wait until the start of next term. By and large I think I will adhere to the wishes of the players themselves in this case.
( Onto the pitch itself! )

If anyone with whom I share MSN details receives an offline MSN link from me, or indeed an online link without my having described in detail what the link is all about, do not click on it. My account was hacked tonight and although I've changed my password, I want to be sure that I'm free of the little bastards. My apologies to anyone in the meantime who did receive spam from this little incident.

Beacuse then I might have stumbled across the actor who's now the 11th incarnation of the Time Lord. Introducing Matt Smith ladies and gentlemen.
Hope you all enjoyed yourself last night and all the best for the next 365 days. :-)
For those of you whom I didn't catch yesterday on MSN, I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas! 364 days to go!

As Bridge Road probably still doesn't have internet access, I wonder if anyone who will be seeing any of my housemates could inform them that I should be arriving back on Thursday. Many thanks.

I'm not going to be back over the weekend but probably either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Well today was my last exam. That's it academic wise. Three years ago I started and three years later I finished. Gosh.
It's been a bit of an odd week or so, role-play wise and in real life and I still feel a little odd inside. Might post something more detailed if I can think of anything worth saying.

1. Pick your Fav Rp character you are currently playing...
2. If you could chose, how would they die?...
3. As we can't always decide these things, how do you think they will die?...
4. What reaction will the death of your character get OC/IC?...
5. What would be their famous last words?
1. Mehendrie Solon.
2. Him dying in a last stand scenario that's allowed his family and/or friends to escape to safety.
3. Either with his life blood pouring out of him as he's run of luck and healing potions or being assassinated by House Dark for treachery.
4. OC there will be the usual reassuring pats on the back I guess, IC I can think of at least one person whom will be hit unbelievably hard over his death.
5. <Whispered> 'Cionnaye ... '

![]() ![]() Rabbit Spirit Your spirit animal is the rabbit. Aloof, distrustful yet sweet and caring, when treated well. A rabbit spirit is a cautious one, more paranoid than most. One that is warm at heart, but cold outside. They need not be afraid of all things in the world. Only the wolf spirit. |

I Am A: True Neutral Human Druid (2nd Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-13
Dexterity-14
Constitution-12
Intelligence-11
Wisdom-14
Charisma-11
Alignment:
True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.
Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class:
Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.

Well housemates and other denizens of Lancaster, it looks like you'll have to put up with my tea-drinking for another academic year!
Now if you would excuse me I'm just going to go into this corner and have a heart attack.

It's the waiting that I hate. I'm not a patient man at the best of times and the incessant wait is slowly driving me batty. I'm so tense and yet bored that I've started listening to my music files in different keys. After that there's no hope.
Nevertheless please wish me luck in advance people.

Right, time to stop posting innane quizes and actually give an update on the current situation on Planet Andrew, God of the Holy Teabag and Emperor of the Teapot.
I think I'll start with the bad news first. Firstly my proposed summer job fell through. Thank goodness for the student loan. Secondly apparently I have some outstanding essays from a couple of terms back, the details of which I thought were all sorted out long ago. Thirdly and relating to the previous point, I have failed to get the necessary grades in my exams.
That was the bad news. The good news is I have four weeks to write three essays (one down already) and that I have resits in the week starting on the 20th August. This time I'm rather optimistic.
So I'll be seeing you crazy gang again, albeit briefly, around about that time again.
Take care of yourselves!
